# Week 7 - Final

Project Overview

3d Animation

The scope of my project was large enough to keep me busy for 6-7 weeks. Unfortunately I could not do everything that I originally set out to do.

Firstly, I added holes into various of the mushrooms, this helped to create the main focal point. Getting caught up in making the environment led to the characters almost not being made.

Next, I unwrapped the objects. I didn't keep in mind that some of them had modifiers on, which made the object's materials stretch. After unwrapping the objects correctly, it was time to apply colour to my scene. I didn't go with my original plan and I used unacceptable colours (black) in some of the object's materials. Which enhanced my focal point in the end.

The lighting was my main problem. I wanted different lighting to further enhance my focal point. Unfortunately, I ran into a lot of problems when it was time to render out the images of my scene. I lost a lot of hours trying to figure out what went wrong with the rendering or why it took so long to render. The actual rendering was very time-consuming and not a factor I properly took into account.

I originally planned to animate the characters. They would have had movement on their eyes and lips. The slight animation would have added to my scene and completed it as a whole.

Final Outcome:

I enjoyed making the time-lapse videos of each week. I learned a few new skills in terms of post-production and editing, which will help me in the future. Time management was the most important factor in this project. Although I couldn't do everything that I originally set out to do, I did get great results in the end. Retracing my steps a few times during the project helped me to reduce the render time and to get back on track again.
